Cincinnati District Two is investigating a B&E in Walnut Hills where the suspects broke into the abandoned Frisch’s pie factory and stole over $200,000 worth of copper wiring from the electrical systems. It was a more sophisticated operation, as they cut the lock from the exterior gate but then relocked it with their own lock. They cut off the power to the building and sawed through major electrical lines and pulled them out of the ceilings and walls throughout the very large factory. They also blocked the windows with mats or cardboard/duct tape. Based on the food/drinks left behind at the scene they likely spent days inside doing their work. If anyone has similar cases or their local scrap yard reporting a suspicious amount of copper wire showing up, please let me know. Thanks!
